My bass needs some extensive top-off repair work -- sound post crack, rib damage, neck reset, etc.
I recently moved back to Atlanta after over a decade away and I always took my bass to Ron Sachs' shop, who did some very nice work for me. But in this case, he would have to send my bass to his guy in Florida and it would take over a month to finish.
So I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions of a local luthier you'd trust to do high quality work on a 100+ year old carved bass that needs some TLC. Is Ron still the best option in town?
