Make me a solo please

Been a few thread about playing solos. I have no gift for soloing. I can lock in with a kick drum and sing like nobody’s business. But throw me a solo and I vapor lock.

Now I don’t have to do a solo often. In the band I’m in now we play Bust a Move by Young MC. On the little breakdown part we all do a solo and get introduced to the crowd. Just gonna say it. My solo is always lame. I normally wimp out and just play the main bass line and throw in some octave runs ect.

Anyone up for making me a solo for this song? Something cool but not to incredibly difficult. Flashy but not nuts. Help me pls.

Thanks in advance.

I think you should keep the groove and based on the line, I would just add some extra ghost notes and passing notes in between with a few notes borrowed from quick runs emphasizing the groove. Flea keeps the groove going and adds in some flare but not too much.

As Victor stated, You can't hold no groove, if you ain't got no pocket.
