Mowing lawns and yard work. We used to pay our yard boy $25 to mow our lawn.
Also, maybe helping an elderly person. My grandma used to pay the 15-year old neighbor boy to help her. She paid him to take her trash to the curb once a week, and bring the can back in. She paid him to mow the lawn and shovel the walk in the winter. If you like kids, you could babysit. Babysitting isn't just for girls, my brother used to watch the neighbor boys. He'd go play ball with them.
Make up a flyer of services you will offer and walk around and put it on all the doors of your neighbors. Don't put them on the mailbox, at least in Illinois that's illegal.

I've made loads just buying and selling stuff.
This is a good one, I buy old pedals and other stuff at pawn shops and sell them on ebay sometimes. Usually whenever I want something I go out and make just enough cash on the side to pay for it and that way my wife can't bitch.
I was having a yard sale this summer when a woman stopped and bought all kinds of my crap. We talked for a bit and she told me she had a home business selling items on ebay she picks up from yard sales. Apparently making enough money to warrant driving around looking for items.

My sister and her husband do that. She said they make lots of $$$ doing so. But they spend every Saturday and Sunday doing that. She said that it's great to make some extra cash but she said that it takes a lot of driving and looking and negotiating to make it worthwhile.
