making gifs?

well i big issue is size, many avatars can't be more than than 50k or 150k or something along those lines.

so... in fireworks theres things like resizing an image, taking out frames (the eye sees something like 30frames a second) you can down it to like 3-10 frames a second and lessen the image quality to be able to have a longer animation.

are the videos right now actually photographs, videos, drawings? Just things to consider.

Can you elaborate a little more? This is my image editor of choice but I don't know how to make an animated gif.

bc
Add a layer for each frame you want in the animation and draw/import whatever you want for each. Select "Save As" from the file menu, and save it as a .gif file. You will then get a dialog box telling you to export, in which you will be able to choose "Flatten Image", or "Save as Animation". When you choose "Save as Animation" and click the export button, you will be presented with another dialog box with a trio of animation options, such as the time between frames.
