Wow, that is stellar, being a single dad of three daughters, 2 of them in the music world I'm happy. Although growing up I only saw girls as vocalists or keyboardists. I had heard Karole Kaye but never knew it in the '60's. Most females fronted bands but rarely played instruments.

Uh, you do know that there’s a substantial(and growing)number of female bassists these days, involved in a wide variety of styles/genres, right?
