Man I hate getting free stuff.

I just bought a gator case that fit my head and tuner perfectly. I was stoked. The our lead guitarist say, "Hey, I'm not using my old rack compressor and it works 10 times better than that old POS stomp compressor, why don't you use it?" CAUSE I DON'T WANT TO SPEND ANOTHER $180 on a new case!!! so, now I have a free floating head that I have to be careful with since I don't want to damage someone else's stuff. Maybe I will try my hand at making my own case out of wood.

I hate getting free stuff too. Not the prettiest bass or the best pic, but...

Friend of mine owned it, did a refin, and didn't like the refin he did (although it was far better than my attempt). He came to a gig of ours and said he'd let me use it on an "indefinite basis". The first gig he came to that I used the bass for the whole show he said, "what the hell, keep it. No strings attached." I asked him what the catch was, he said, "nothing, just play the hell out of it."

It took some time to get used to the SR sound but it's grown on me. I tried Chromes on it and fell in love with the sound. We just recorded our first CD and I used that bass throughout...mmmmmmmm...nice!

Sorry for the thread hijack...
