Double Bass Mark 10 Bass handle is stripped

Hello fellow bassist. My Mark 10 Bass Amps handle came off both screws stripped. Any ideas on how to possibly fix it? I purchased the same screw and the threads don’t catch. Forget contacting Mark Bass, the website is not responsive . They’re in Italy and not interested in customer service from what I can see.

Thanks

You might be able to install a PEM. They make them for many different gauges of metal and there are many different styles of PEMs. I would guess any sheet metal place would be able to install them for you for a six pack or two.

About Markbass...nice stuff but their CS sucks, When I need to replace any of the MB stuff I own, I will be buying something else. I have a MB 500watt Big Bang amp and I bought it not working with the commensurate price. I figured I could get a schematic and fix it myself (I am an amp tech) but nope, They would not send me a schematic. I have never had a company not send me a schematic for a piece I was working on. I was able it fix it after a fashion but not with any help from them.

EDIT: I forgot to post a link to the PEMs

T nuts from the inside would be my first choice.

You can also use threaded inserts. (I"m assuming it's a wood or particleboard or MDF cabinet).

Little nuts on the inside are a risk of vibrating loose and dropping into the works.

You could also use the type of drywall anchor that upsets and deforms when you tighten the screw. Not as secure as the first two options.
