I've played through one, sounded good where I tried it, they are expensive because they have decent speakers, so, unlike most manufacturers, you are paying for quality and not the name.bugbass said:

I have one, the 410HF with the MB little mark 11 head.
This is not the typical EDEN tone you will get, it`s not hifi and not Ampeg as well, but it will cleary deliver the true character of your Bass, as is the MB head together. The cab is not hissy at all, very quiet and handles all notes perfectly and with clarity the low B as well. I only use this cabinet for my gigs, at medium size venues with no PA support, and it's plenty loud, punchy with definition.
And the best of all, they are so light, it's a joke to carry them around along with the head !!!
I am satisfied with the head and the cab very much and would not go back to 115 pounds cabinet no more !!!

I would agree that I hear very little "color" in these cabs. They also move alot of air, so provide quite a bit of thump, if you like that sort of thing (which I do.)
I have recently purchased the traveller 210 cab, i'm still waiting for band practise to get some real thoughts. The cab is really small and light but it can kick out some serious thump. It is uncoloured with the exception of a bit of a lower mid hump. For reference I tried the front ported 210 model as well and it had much more meaty lows.
I'm interested in this as well. I'll be most likely buying a LMKII head, but I'm still unsure on my cab choice. 2x10 or 4x10, etc..
I don't have a Markbass cab, but I recently (last April) got a combo, the CMD 102P. It's a great piece of kit, the sound is tight, up-front and punchy without being overly harsh. Not like a "sweet" or "laid back" sort of tone, really (although I haven't tried too hard to find that as it isn't really my thing).
I liked the fact that I was able to plug in and sound good more or less straight away without searching for hours for a decent sound. Loud enough on it's own for most gigs, and works well with my Harke 115xl cab as an extension, although for larger venues I usually get PA support anyway and so don't need any more on stage than the combo. I love it, best bit of gear I've bought in ages.
AND it only weighs 44lb!!!!!!!!!!!
My Hartke 2.5xl cab on its own weighs 66!

+1 on the weight. They're more expensive than Hartke over here in the UK, but the reduced weight and the quality of the tone more than makes up for the extra £££.
