Are you marking all forums read or individual forums? Are you using the link in the forum header or somewhere else?

Using the link in the header and marking read individual forums. But I'm really only looking at the bass classifieds, and that's the only one I update/mark read. I know it doesn't affect the other forums.

Additional: When I use the link in the header, the link works. The page refreshes and the bold text threads are unbolded. But at times, when I return to check the forums after using the link, those unbolded threads are bold again, as if they were never marked read the first time. I know this because of the time stamps for the last posting on the individual threads, which are from well before the last time I looked. It doesn't always happen, but I would say at least once a day. I normally check the forums 4-5 times a day.

Since this is in the classifieds I bet it's related to the fact that we have a custom addon that only bumps threads once every 24 hours. A thread can have a new post and yet be down far in the thread list....

Speaking of the Classifieds:
The Thread Display Option always gets back the "Last bump time" when I set if to "Last message time".
It works in the other DB forums, but not the Classifieds.
The setting is not saved in the area.
Pretty annoying.
Maybe it's the custom addon?

It works in the other DB forums, but not the Classifieds.

Yup it'll always default to last bump time. That's the point of the addon, to make ineffective the plethora of illegal "bump" posts.
