MarkBass CMD Mini 121P

There isnt a ton of fundamental down there with the small sized cab, but mine handles the B just fine. I love these amps. They are light, and super loud. Put an extension under it and it will most certainly sound great with a 5. I have the matching NY112 with mine and it sounds terrific.

I owned both the CMD 121P and CMD 151P. The 121P is pretty cool in the "bang-per-pound" category, but I preferred the 151P, it felt deeper and louder to me - makes sense with the 15" and bigger box.

That's for a single cab solution. As mentioned, a 121P with a 121 extension cab would work well.

I have the same setup as Adrian -- combo plus the extension. Gives you everything you need and then some in small- to medium-sized venues. And it's awfully cool to walk into the joint with your rig in each hand and your bass on your back. "I'm here."

I did check it out with the extension cab and thought it sounded great, but I'll wait for a used one to show up.. I'd like to check out the 15" version, but they didn't have one in stock.. This little rig may be fine for most of the country club and nightclub gigs with some P.A. support.. I got the amp for a great price so decided to snap it up... I actually hate the color scheme, but the little bugger sounds good... I have a Mesa M-3 combo which is fantastic, but getting too heavy to load in and out of my truck... And I also did a nightclub gig a few weeks ago with my 25 watt Crate little practice amp which was fine for that night, but not most others.. I was trying to blow the damn think up for 2h!t2 and giggles, but it made it through the night unscathed... I also have to see if this amp can handle effects such as an Octaver...

I have the same set-up as DownLowJoe and it handles the low B on my acoustic/electric bass guitar just fine. When using both together, I actually place the 121H 'vertical' and it locks right in with the combo's plastic ends. I can't believe how the low end improved when I added the 121H Traveler cab. It's overkill for my current situation (acoustic trio with guitarist and hand percussionist) in all but larger outdoor venues. I've never had to turn the master on the combo past 2.5.

The amp worked out pretty well on Saturday night, but I found myself cranking it by the end of the night.. It was a really loud crowd and the place was packed.. I'm going to try it with a few different cabs at G.C. but i do remember it sounded great with the 121.. The only thing that I don't like is their isn't an attenuator for the horn on the combo.. The extension cab has one..
