I've never told you where to stick your bass!!!!LOL Actually that's one of the guitarist's stands in the pic.

What did you use to paint the speakers?

I didn't,I use two players school combos and they come w/black speakers.I only power the top combo and just use the bottom one as an extension speaker.Gives me 250watts@4ohms into twoX15"s which is plenty for what I do.If I ever have problems I can swap them,it gives me a spare amp right on stage

You can paint the cones, it's been done.

People please don't paint your speaker cones! It will increase the mass of the cone. The speaker is tuned to the cab as it is.

I will probably take the paint off tomorrow. If it doesn't look nice & shiny, I could just spray on some silver.

Rather than silver, I'd look for something with a chrome look. I wonder if the Krylon Looking glass paint would work.

Markbass representative in California says it's made of steel, so if I were to remove the paint, it would tarnish pretty quickly probably.

Maybe I will paint yellow stripes across it.

I've gotten good results with spray cans of Rust-Oleum Copper Metallic. I think they also market Chrome.

^ That. Removing the logo makes a big difference. I didn't even heat up the glue first, I just went slow.

I used to have Markbass Cabs. Just removing the gigantic logo make them look a lot better, so you don't mind the Yellow/Black.

They had a silly gimmick, but they were talented, imo
