Markbass line out (XLR) to Ashdown Fx return?

Hello, sorry if this question was already answered but I don't find the answer searching in the forum.

The question is: Can I connect the "line out" from a Markbass SA450 to the Fx return of an Ashdown EB 180?.

The Ashdown combo is in the rehersal but is an old abused amp and the sound is so "poor", my intention is to bring the markbass and connect the two amps to improve the sound.
