Markbass Micromark 801 vs Orange Crush 50

Hello, everyone!

I'll buy a new practice amp soon. I'm leaning toward the Micromark 801, but the Orange Crush 50 has some appeal because of the 12" speaker. They cost about the same. I don't want anything more expensive or bigger than these guys.

Has anyone had the chance to compare both? Any thoughts? Thank you!

I've owned the Orange crush bass 50, and have played the 801 in stores most chances I get so here are my thoughts. The Orange sounded 'boxy' to me. It had volume but could never adjust the EQ to where I would enjoy to play.
801 was and is a pleasure to play. Its volume is sufficient and the EQ was more of a joy to listen to. For sure plays as a bigger combo than it looks

I couldn’t find a better combo in that weight class regardless of cost. Very happy with mine, I sent back a Phil Jones D4 as the bottom end was lacking. For acoustic piano / electric bass gigs, the 801 is perfect, (for me).
