Double Bass MarkBass

Actually, it's a pretty widespread trend. Nowadays, a lot of us download owners manuals to do some advance research about products before trying them out. It helps us narrow the field down to a few products before we go out on the shopping trip.

Agreed,
It's been my standard practice since the internet began offering
PDF Owners Manuals. Spec Sheets always tend to miss something, owners manuals usually don't.

In fact, I consider a downloadable owners manual to be a minimum indication that a gear maker is interesting in doing business with me. Of course typos happen, and I have found that the MarkBass manuals are quite informative.

In some cases, I can get enough info from a manual that I don't mind ordering a product without a listening test. That's helpful for those of us who don't live in the big cities.

+1. In my case the problem is Portugal itself. I live very near Lisbon (Portugal´s capital) and all I can get is the most famous brands (Fender, Ampeg, Gallien Krueger,...). I never saw and never tried (and don't know when the hell will I have the chance to) Acoustic Image, EA, Accugroove, Bag End, Bergantino, Markbass,... :help: :crying: So thank you internet for the manuals and of course for the possibility of exchanging ideas with all my fellows talkbasser's.

Peter:

Sorry didn't quite get it. Is there a hole on both models or just the 601?
(hmm... working for markbass?! Proofreader?! Why not...)
I might agree with you that trying first should always be the option but when you live in the third world is kind of hard. Why isn't there a Markbass dealer in Portugal? Italy is so close and both belong to the EU. Strange! Maybe I could be the first!!!!

You have some good questions!
There's only a hole for a pole (a pole hole?) on the 601... NOT on the 101.

We're working on Portugese distribution and hope to sort that out soon! Our products are available in Spain right now.

Unfortunately we can't hire a proofreader right now. That's supposed to be my job and I guess I occasionally make mistakes. Thanks for kicking my ass! ;)

I'm in Italy at the moment and have just discussed these issues with our people here. It's all getting sorted out.

Cheers and thanks,
Peter

And of course, the usual question...when might MicroMarks or MarkAcoustics appear in Canada? Any updates?

Unfortunately we're still waiting for CE approval for the Micromark and Mark Acoustic amps. Hopefully it will come through soon! As soon as it does we'll be ready to ship these items to Canada. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Guys,

I'm putting together stories for the Markbass Magazine, which will be launched at the NAMM show in January.

I want to include a few testimonials from bass players who have bought and are using Markbass gear.

If you own and love Markbass gear, and can PM me a quote describing what you have and why you love it, I'd very happily include it in the Magazine! You have to supply your name and where you're from.

Many thanks in advance!
Peter

Hi Peter , i dont understand this :
Are there any rack ears for the LM2 ?
/ Thanks

Yes there are. They're sold separately. You should be able to get them (or order them) from the place you got your amp.

For those in the US though, Guitar Center doesn't have rack ears yet but will soon.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi Peter.
In my opinion, that post brings us near spamming.
I invite you to re-read the Commercial User Policy here:

I understand this is a Markbass thread, and that you are a PR employee, but please keep the plugs to sponsored forums.

I've already been PM'd by another moderator. I apologize if this post bothered anyone and won't post this kind of thing again.
