I've had 2 Custom Woodline Bacchus series basses that the fit, finish and tone was better than any Jazz style bass I've ever had in my hands. They are a great bargain at their price range.

Both are in the 9.5 pound range and balanced perfectly.

dang... those are nice! Now that I see yours up close, I regret buying the Fender elite Dimension V on a whim.

The Elites are very nice made basses but the Woodline Bacchus are made by the top luthiers in Japan and their work is 2nd to no-one. They are comparable to the Sadowsky NYC according to many who have tried and owned both.

The elites, you know this is the first Fender I bought and I have over 35 or so basses. I was always told that they had high action and it was never meant to be a low action guitar but the action is really disappointing. I am going to have it plekked and get it done right even if it means I will only have 2 hours of play time before it becomes a fretless bass. Even then the B string still kinda sucks compared to almost all my other bass.

The bright side is that the front pickups do sound like a P. Maybe it's my imagination but it sounds close enough for me so that will save me from buying a Fender P bass that TB is always talking about. LOL
