Matt Freeman P bass Squier

I was really after a Fender Japan but few and far between in my area and I see this one has popped up. I have had a Classic Vibe P bass before and it was nice but not great. I have read reviews on the Matt Freemans and they sound nice. I am a guitarist mainly, just plink around on the bass, do a bit of recording so doesn't have to be top shelf. Just a nice useable bass.

Just wondering if anyone knows how different these are to a normal Classic Vibe P bass. I have read the bridge is different but what about electronics and pick ups...everything else?

I don't have an answer to your question but as a beginner bassist and experienced rancid fanboy, I would love to know where you found it if you don't end up getting it. ;)

Good luck!
Unfortunately Thailand my friend which I am guessing is too far for you and I did buy it. if you can find one grab it. Exceptional instrument. The necks on these Squier guitars and basses are unbelievable. I have the action down to a cigarette paper off the fretboard and no buzz at all. Stock pick ups are punchy and love the neck. Nothing at all to complain about

Great basses. Highly sought after.
Better than more recent Classic Vibes.
These were a part of the original run Classic Vibe series.
Pickup is voiced brighter and neck is slightly fuller than Classic Vibe 60’s Precision. Same bridge with brass saddles. Same basswood body . Comes with maple fretboard instead of rosewood. Matt Freeman is 70’s inspired Pbass. It captures that Vibe really well.
