Matte Black Rickenbacker 4003

I was going to buy one at the time but was told that they were absolute fingerprint magnets!
Plus, when you start playing it and where your forearm lays on the body and where you place your thumb those spots will start to wear the matte finish and probably start getting shinier for lack of a better word, and I think that would look really weird. And I agree about the fingerprints, even though the high gloss shows them very well, too.

They will only be used now, no current production. Saw one for sale recently. They come up every now and then. But they are highly variable on price and the matte 4003s seems more common than the 4003.

It's possible they'll be back, but probably not for a long time. I get the feel there was more supply than demand.
