I am a drummer currently playing bass now for two years, i want to use my old IEM set up with my bass rig. Can i just run a line out of the bass rig from direct out to the in IEM system. Reason, i just need to ear my self a little more and like the idea of control being at my own rig..

IS this something that can be done.......Thanks

I'm a drummer now playing bass as well. What is your current IEM rig? I had a wired sure model, but sold it and bought a wireless unit so I'm not tethered.

i guess, but then you'd hear nothing but bass, not any of the rest of the band. you need to mix that sound with the sound of the other players so you can actually play with them.

Yep - A little personal mixer, or a Rolls IEM mixer, and mix in some of the out front sound. You'll sound good to yourself.

what you're suggesting should work, but how will you hear the rest of the band? they would have to be really really loud for you to hear them if they're not mixed in.
probably you should run your IEM system the same way you used to when drumming, right?

Lately, in impromptu situations, I've run a line of the house mix from the main mixer and my bass line into my little 4-channel practice mixer that drives my IEM rig and balance the two.

Primitive, but it worked way better than I had hoped.
