Actually, for a long time, Paul had taken away post counts from anybody except supporting members and we stopped getting this kind of thread, whereas there were loads of them before!

Maybe it's time to hide them again?

Who's going to go to Paul's shack and put it in the suggestion box?

It did lower the pointless post count wars. I mean, it won't stop me from posting freebies/pointless posts that were best left unsaid... but it might stop someone.

I don't mind the absence of the counter. I figured this might happen sooner or later.

Someone had a good suggestion that Gold Supporting members get their counters back. It's not a big perk, but it wouldn't hurt the incentive to go for the Gold...
