Maybe time to consider strap locks.

I've had the Schallers and they're good, but they did fall apart on me on the road during a show. You can just use them with a regular strap without the straplock top, so if someone else wants to use their own strap, it can still work.

I've now been using the flush mount Dunlops and have no problems with them. I've never noticed any rattles or noises. They also become more comfortable when the are flush mounted because the strap doesn't stick further out than it usually would.

If they are very careful and don't move around a lot. It's not nearly as secure as a plain strap button that way.
