hi.
Ive come so far that i am starting to play concerts around in the local towns, and its time for an amp upgrade.
Im actually VERY into the sound cliff burton has on his bass during live shows. its just outstanding. blasting sound, very powerful and boomy, and with some growl, but not too thick sound. check this enhanced bass line from ride the lightning album:
solo with effects and such but listen to 1:37 when he steps of the pedal and gets that floating sound!
i do know he use mesa amps and Aria sb-1000 + a couple of effects.
I already have Aria SB-900 , so how can i upgrade my sound to get that growly bottom and floating boost at the hights ?
i need some Mesa stuff, any advices?
(ps: i will most likely buy used equipment, its alot cheaper).
