Cool.. Thanks for taking the time to document this for us.. Looks like a pretty easy mod to get better wheels on our Mesa cabs. I really can't believe Mesa did not just use better casters from the factory. It is not like they skimped on any of the other hardware. And the weight of the cab was very much not on their mind

And there you have it. THe green dot in previous pics is a spot where you have to go a little deeper for the axle ends.Plywood really files easily. Without TOlex or carpet, ur cbs. would quickly shred to pieces.

How are these casters holding up on your cab? I still have not done this mod.. Mainly because it will cost over 50 bucks for the casters. My old Mesa ones are still on the cab but about to fall apart. I figured before I pull the trigger on the Grundorf's I'd see how they a re holding up for you.. Also these casters look a little taller than the originals. Does your cab still sit nice and flat on all four rubber feet?
