I've been eye'ing a Mesa/Boogie PowerHouse Junior cabinet that is for sale about a week now, just have not pulled the trigger one way or another. It's a Road Ready version and the specs from what I can find on it are they are 300w and 8ohms and features 4x8" speakers and 1x12" speaker. Unless replaced I believe the speaker(s) (at least the 12 was) were EV's. The little feedback I did find it seems they were favorable. I currently own and use Mesa's PowerHouse 2x12 cab and I love their 12's but those are different and I know 8's can get pretty punchy and hit good mids and highs. I can guess it weighs a pretty penny, but I am wondering what the tone is like and also if they do/can get pretty loud with the sound output?

Just curious if anyone who has used one has anything good (or bad) to say about this cab on here?

This is why I like to ask, I personally never had "in-person" experience with this cab thus I appreciate your feedback very much. I think I'll pass on pursing the Junior cab. My PowerHouse 2x12 is a pretty amazing cab though I will agree ;)

Ghost thread, however
There is No accounting for taste,….. I wondered the same thing since I have a PH 212, but I found a review of a power house 212 where the guy swears its a good sounding cab, but can’t hold a candle to his old power house Jr. cab (112/48 speaker array). So like the sensible voices always recommend on here, try one for yourself and let your ears decide before buying or passing on gear you are interested in.

Note that most parts are no longer an available for the PH Jr cabinets. The parts were discontinued by the original vendors many years ago.
