Can somebody tell me exactly how it works? If I'm pairing two cabs, what would be the optimum setting for each cab? Does this control have anything to do with the tweeter or does it only affect the frequency output of the main drivers?

Mesa Cab Style Control Adjustable Crossover (3k/4k/5k)

It is nothing more than a crossover for the tweeter, which can be set at any of the 3 preset frequencies. As to how you'd set 2 of them up, ask 5 people, get 5 different answers. Personal preference.
