Mesa Powerhouse 410 Pricedrop?

This looks like one of their new line of "Traditional" Powerhouse cabs, which are being introduced with the new Strategy and Prodigy all-tube amps.

I'm not sure what distinguishes the Traditional line from the "Vintage Powerhouse" cabs (which, AFAIK, are the regular "Powerhouse" speakers with different grills, and perhaps Tolex and/or corner bumbers) -- perhaps no tweeter? Different grills/Tolex/corners? I'm sure others can chime in to clarify.

Edit: Here's a photo of the new Traditional cabs:

I got my ph 410s new from Guitar Center for 799 each because my GC said it was no longer going to carry Mesa Boogie Bass gear. That was in 2007 or 2008. I also bought a new ph 115 for something like 599. The funny thing is- I go to GC every 3 or 4 months and there is always new Mesa Bass gear- M9s and M6s and such. So I don't know what kind of deal i got , but I got it and I'm not complaining.

That sounds like a screaming deal! I always see Mesa gear in my local GC as well.

I heard it was rumored the new "Traditional" line was going to be either sealed or more along the lines of a sealed cab, but I think that's not actually the case now, so I'm interested to see what the differences are as well.

Also AFAIK, the "new" price for a Powerhouse 410 or 212 is $899 anyway. I bought both of my current PH212 cabs for that price.

The new Traditional cabs appear to be lower wattage in some cases (115 and 210) and have no tweeter.

The black grilled Vintage series has the same specs and street price as Standard Powerhouse series.

Specs are from Page 5 of the 2012 product guide from Mesa (opens a PDF): http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Product_Guide/2012-ProdRefGuide.pdf

Edit: looks like Mesa has added these to their main site now: http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_I...erhouseCABS/Trad-PowerhouseCabs-MAIN-2012.htm - sounds like they do have a horn. Wonder why they are less expensive.
