F/S due to downsizing at work...
Mesa Walkabout Scout 12; 6 years old; fine condition.
I bought this from a gent who used it for double bass exclusively, most of it's use with me has been the same-tho it does quite well at electric as well!
Small, portable powerhouse, this is the 4 ohm version with a 12" neo speaker, horn and attenuator. Big power and tone, small portable package.
300 watts at 4 ohms, ~450 at 2.67 ohms (8 ohm extension cab) and ~550 watts at 2 ohms (4 ohm extension cab.
The head pops right out in about 30 seconds for use with other/bigger cabs; and I do have the Mesa carry bag for it (not pictured).
She has two new JJ 12ax7's in the preamp, and a mosfet power section. Running the input lower, and master higher yeilds a great fat tube tone. Running input higher and master lower starts to add more harmonic content, and eventually some nice juicy overdrive.
Controls are input gain, shelving bass, passive mid, a three band semi-parametric eq, shelving treble; DI; and master volume.
Comes with Mesa's cover, and all the factory paperwork.
She's in fine condition-although the stitched leather handle does show wear. I believe Mesa will replace tho free, upon request but I've not bothered as it's still perfectly serviceable.
$700+shipping, payment via paypal e-check or money order.
thanks-alan
side note:
I do have two Mesa Diesel 115's, both loaded with Eminence 3015 neo's. Sitting the Walkabout on top of one of these is devatating, and more than enough for any job I've ever done-big clubs, outdoors, etc. Using the Walkabout head with two of them...fuggetabout-it!
