metal effects?

I'm in a 5 man metal band, (we play alot of As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Bring Me The Horizon etc etc) and i want to enhance the bass by using effects. Im currently using:
Jimmy Hendrix-JH-1 wah wah
Boss-DS-1 Distortion
Ibanez-F27-Fuzz
danelectro-"hash browns" flanger
Boss-GEB-7
(in that order)
any ideas about what settings to put them at, new pedals to buy, and which to use togeather? I have them mostly because people gave them to me or they were cheap to buy, the only one i actually paid alot for was the eq.

if you play a lot of music like those bands.. i would suggest just using a compressor and ditch everythng else... I started out with a ton of effects and all i use now are overdrive and comp..

Removing the DS-1 from your signal chain will give you your low end back. Optionally, removing the diodes in 'D4' and 'D5' will make it more overdrivey and at least give you back your low-mids. A Sansamp unit (they make a few) will probably give you a more useful bass distortion.

lastgasp art laboratories is the only effects company that actually makes stuff for amplified metal that I know of....

I agree with a comp, you might want to look at a few better fuzzes and overdrives. I've heard there are a few mods that can make a DS-1 work great for bass or you could get a blendable loop pedal and put the ds-1 and your EQ in it, that should give some you interesting sounds.

my suggestion is get an LS2 and put the overdrive as first pedal going into clean and Fuzz (may want better fuzz but ive never heard that one ) into Loop A, set to mix of loop A and B/Bypass and then you can have

clean
OR
overdrive
OR
clean blended with fuzz
OR
Overdrive blended with fuzz

I use to not see the point in blends etc and looked for the best 'low end fuzz' pedals, but after wasting all my money have found that blending is the easiest way to be heard...

another tip is when you may have a spot that you are 'soloing' or need to be heard clearly through the mix,... chuck the flanger (or a chorus) on... theres a melodic powerchord section guitars play in one of my songs and using chorus I can play through the distorted mix... or you could use the abose LS2 situations as a 'boost' (ie put the volume above unity) for when you need to stand out a bit more
