Mid Boost/bump in a pedal

I'm in a musical situation now where I need to solo. I'm looking for a pedal where I can dial in a mid bump or boost to enhance the tone when I solo. I know EWS makes a small pedal for just this purpose and I tried it but it is a true bypass pedal and it makes a popping sound when I step on the switch and this is unacceptable. Anybody have any suggestions for a pedal?

If you're not allergic to digital, the zoom MS stuff has parametric eq available

I looked at a whole bunch of overdrives/distortions to give me an "out front" sound. Turns out that the answer was a GEB7 that I bought on a whim for $30.

A small boost on everything above 1k, and leave the low frequencies alone. It's not the most glamorous or "cool" pedal, but it works great!

Alternatively, you could maybe have the EWS 3PDT bypass switch swapped out for a popless opto one, or have the 3PDT modded to get rid of the pop (involves soldering a capacitor to it, IIRC).

Yea I liked what I heard in the guitar demo I listened to. Not sure how it would go on bass. It also looks badass which is always a plus

The EWS is your best call. Are you using isolated power? That can make a big difference with popping pedals. And one other thing - if your EWS pops, whatever you replace it with, is likely to pop as well.
