It boggles my mind sometimes how different strings sound on different basses.
I have to cut low mids with the Sadowsky's on my Lakland to make them sound close to the Nickel LoRiders I normally use on that bass. Nickel LoRiders have a punch and presence that no other string has on that bass. Sunbeams were also disappointing on my Lakland.
Then again, those same Nickel LoRiders sound puny on my Warwick, which still has Ernie Ball Cobalts which sound HUGE on that bass. But Cobalts on my Lakland....crap. Awful. Sunbeams too. Awful.
Sunbeams on my Spector? Tone straight from God himself.

That's true. I was using it with passive Fender Single Coils and you have Barts and a Bart pre in your 01 right?
