Midi keyboard for iPad Pro

This is perhaps a bit off-topic, but I'm on the lookout for a (preferably relatively cheap) keyboard to use with my 2019 iPad Pro. I want to play through the AudioKit Synth One (The AudioKit Synth One is a pro-level iPad synth that’s completely free) which has impressed me greatly the last few days. It is mostly for home use/recording, and not live (yet, at least).

I am a complete noob when it comes to these things, so spoon feeding is greatly appreciated here

I use an M-AUDIO keystaion 49es into my iPad. I connect with a Apple camera connection cable. It works great for Garage band.

The camera connection cable is just to get a USB connection? If so, the new iPads like mine already have USB-C as their only port. I guess I could just plug into that?

You can also use a wireless Bluetooth capable Keyboard.
No wires and no latency problem.
Save the USB for the audio if you ever add an interface.

The Korg Microkey air keyboards are pretty good. They have smaller keys like a melodica which can be more comfortable for people who don't regularly play keys.

Most midi keyboards will need external power via the connection kit. They seem to make them for ipad pros but it’s a bit pricier.

Look at the CME xKey Air. Does both blue tooth and USB. Rechargeable battery.
