After waiting many years for Pepper to rejoin Corrosion of Conformity the boys release the mighty No Cross No Crown and that bass tone that shattered the earth on In The Arms Of God is back.
Has anyone an idea of how he achieves such a tone? Heavy strings perhaps...
Saw them open for Clutch a while ago and was playing a Sadowsky J of all things. Was to busy staring at that to notice anything else he was using. I did notice the bridge was at 50% with a little bass added.
I also saw them play with Clutch, back in January 2006. Sadowsky Jazz bass was all I noticed of his gear. Maybe the ultra llw end on the EQ is boosted. Hard to say...
Mike Dean is a BADASS. I remember a magazine article from years ago and it was jazz basses, sadowsky I believe and old Mesa cabs. Diesel 410 and 115, I believe. I don't remember which head......
