I'm less than thoroughly satisfied with the gap on the low side of this one but it's functional no problem at all. $$$

Those look normal to me, the red one you noted but on a zoomed-in photo it's hard to tell how much it really is.

Yeah, they look normal it seems to me too, but I wonder what others might perceive.

At the worst visible part on the low side of the neck on the red one, that gap is about .010", and that width goes down to the bottom of the pocket. It's not pretty because of a bit of the waver but the fit overall is snug and stable.

A potential trollish play on the whole nitro lets the wood breathe thing: Leo made those pre-CBS neck pockets just loose enough so the necks to can breathe and sound better. :smug:
