minor pentatonic scales and shapes

I know for major pentatonics there are 5 diff positions based on where youre at on the fingerboard.

is it the same for minor pentatonics?

If you treat the green dot as the "root" then those charts you posted are minor pentatonic scales.

To specifically answer your question: if a scale has five notes, then you can start on the first note, the second note, the third note, the fourth note, or the fifth note. Therefore there are (at least) five different fingerings for any given five-note scale.

I like to think of pentatonic scales as both major and minor i.e. G major/E minor

Really it all one scale. As Mushroo said, you can start on any note. Play a major pentatonic. (C D E G A C). Play the same collection of notes, but start on the A (A C D E G A) and you have a minor pentatonic.
