Mismatched string appearance

I got a set of DR strings, and they sound great, but the D string is significantly darker looking than the rest. It looks horrible. Do you think this is reason enough to get a replacement? I'll email DR and see what they think. I might post pics later.

A darker string is caused by the winding being a slightly different alloy than the others.
This, in turn, is caused by aliens slipping in to the DR Strings plant and swapping some of the string winding material with their special alien alloy.
It is stronger than steel, but if you leave it on your bass an alien will burst out of your bass' belly.
DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
:D
