Double Bass mix/match adjusters

A while back I saw a link that discussed the differences between different adjuster materials and the effects on tone. I'm curious if anyone has tried mixing adjuster materials to get some of the best qualities from each and if so with what results?

I can only tell you that when I changed from the heavy brass adjusters that came with the bridge on mine to the aluminum Full Circle, the tone seemed to "open up" a little bit. Hard to quantify other than that.

I don't think anyone has tried it, but there might be something to this. Maybe ebony on the E foot and aluminum on the G?
