Let's go to the OP, I am looking to use up the tequila I have, not go for something entirely different.Martini. But you'll have to ditch the tequila and get yourself sone gin and vermouth.
My preferred drink will always be Mojitos.

I am not cut out for straight alcohol. I always need it mixed with something. If it's good tequila then you should be able to enjoy sipping it...
Tuna and Strawberry Quik.

very much agree with this.I get that...here's a suggestion - try a higher end brand. Really good tequila is great for sipping and will be full of flavor and after taste, without the bite or alcohol burn, just like really good Scotch or Irish whisky.
very much agree with this.
If you got patrón, or even Familia Camarena (blue, not the "wood aged" goop), it is quite sippable without any chaser or fruit squeeze.
Bourbon and frozen water. Best combo in my book![]()
That sounds really good, served over ice I would say, or stirred with ice and strained. I bet my wife would love that...Perfect Margarita:
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Triple Sec, or Cointreau
Fresh squeezed juice from one plump lime
2 oz. pineapple juice
Oh, in that case: Martini. But you'll have to ditch the tequila and get some gin and vermouth.Let's go to the OP, I am looking to use up the tequila I have, not go for something entirely different.

I am originally from South Texas, where Margaritas rule, and was disappointed in the taste of margaritas in Canada, so I launched an exhaustive search to discover the best one. The original classic is:That sounds really good, served over ice I would say, or stirred with ice and strained. I bet my wife would love that...![]()
+1 for drinking it in its pure formIf it's good tequila then you should be able to enjoy sipping it. Otherwise make a margarita or a tequila sunrise. You can also make a tequila mojito. OR mix it with diet coke...we call that a hair ball.
That is just the name of the drink...like a Cuba Libre is a rum and coke. My post was in no way meant to be political.
