Can anyone please advise on playing my bass with iTunes on my Mac through a Yamaha AG03 Mixer. I have a Bergantino Forte w the DI out into the Yamaha mixer. iTunes (Mac) comes through clean while my bass is low volume and distorted. I have both the amp gain and mixer gain all the way down.

please advise...

Thanks
Renato

I'm not following your signal path. Can you clarify; Are you sending your computer's audio and your bass to your Yamaha mixer which then has speakers connected to the mixer? Alternatively, are you sending your bass to the mixer and then into the computer via USB?

This is an important distinction because it would illustrate the difference between clipping a preamp versus clipping a converter. Drawing a signal path diagram would be very helpful if you can do that.

Are you sure that you have used the mic-input channel of the AG03 and a xlr-xlr cable? DI's deliver a mic level signal! Did you try the line level out of the Bergantino into one of the line-level inputs of the Yamaha (2 or 3) with a mono TRS-TRS cable?
