This is a very simple thing, that I just want opinion on from you guys.

I Have BelCantos on my Calin Wultur, and DANG they sound amazing. Earlier, I had EP's on my bass. I liked the pizz, but it was way too bright for my bass, and orchestra playing. But, I do miss that E string compared to the BelCantos. Would it be weird if I used EP's E string, and Kept my BelCantos?

Thanks everyone! I have stupid questions sometimes..

On my bass, the Bel E was also too dark for pizz and being lighter tension, I couldn't "dig in" when I wanted to. So instead, I use a Spiro 3885.5W 3/4 Weich E string. It blends perfectly with the Bel ADG in tone, tension and volume. YMMV, but it's a good mix.

  3. Not weird at all - just try it.

I play Pirastro FlatChromesteel met Spirocore E.

I like the Spiro Idea for the E string, because the BelCanto E really lacks on pizz :( .. Thanks! More opinions are welcome

Not weird. You just have to try stuff like that, though. Your bass, you hands, your ears. Let us know how it turns out.
