I wish I could've used more abbreviations in the title... But alas!

Time for the precious to depart. All stock AVRI '63 Precision in Sonic Blue, professionally relic-ed by the best, MJT guitars. I'd easily put this up against anything from Fender's custom shop.

If I wasnt half-way through the wait list on a Moollon I would be all over this. I still might. Somebody please buy this before I get drunk and my PayPal gets a mind of its own.

I have the exact bass (minus the relic’ing) and they kill! These necks are crazy fast for their width. I’ve always heard they are the closest a factory P will come to a CS P. GLWTS.

Has anyone played one of these and an American Original 60s p? Could someone give a first hand comparison?

I have as a matter of fact. I like the AVRI better - rounder neck radius is my preference.

Agree, same pickup (Pure Vintage '63), woods and electronics. Only difference is the neck radius. 7.25" on the 63 and 9.5" on the American Original. I've had both and feel the 63 has a thinner lacquer coat, but that is just my perception and I have not read anything official about it.
