I was thinking about putting a music man pickup in the bridge position on my p bass. However, I don't want to have to purchase and install an entire preamp unit in the bass. Just add one or two knobs.
1. does anybody have soundclips of this pup combo? I have played the American Deluxe Precision bass but i dont remember the sound very well...the bass already has a great deal of mids in it naturally (thanks to my labella tapewounds) and i hope a passive MM pickup wont add too much mids too the sound..
2. does anybody have the wiring diagram/ links to the wiring diagram for this setup? I would like to either just add the pickup and have another volume knob on the bass, like a modern jazz (vol vol tone), or I could add a concentric knob for the MM pickup (volume on top, tone on bottom)
