MM pickup replacing a P-pickup?

Hi all,

Thinking of getting a custom bass

- 4 string
- Alder body
- Maple neck with rosewood fretboard
- Jazz style body
- One SD Bassline MM pickup in place where a Precision pickup would be
- Active controls (2-band or 3-band control, haven't decided which one)

Does anyone know what tone/sound you would get if you replaced a P-bass pickup with a MM pickup?

I've searched the forum and i came up with these conclusions:

- No one knows exactly what tone you'd get

- Someone said a possible musicman similar tone BUT with more lows because the MM pickup is more towards the neck instead in it's MM sweetspot place

So... discuss everyone :D

Thanks!
