here's my beastie:

2003 Fender Hwy 1 that I bought brand spanking new in 2003. I added Hipshot Tuners w/ D-tuner. Had a battery box routed in the back and the jack moved to the side. Installed a Sadowsky Pre w/ VTC. Replaced the stock electronics intially with Seymour Duncan 1/4 lbs, then to Dimarzio Model Js, then to the current Bartolini Single coils that are in it now. I replaced the stock bridge with a Badass bridge, but went back to the stock vintage style bent plate bridge after a few months. Added a Tort 62RI J pickguard and pickup cover. All the wear you see on it is actual player wear and I have not touched it with anything other than my hands and arms (no sand paper was used in the making of this finish).

Some nice basses being posted. Zachbass02, nice work.

thank you thank you...I'm thrilled with how it turned out. It plays amazing and sounds amazing too. Everyone around town that plays it are always telling me that if I ever sell it, let them know first. :D But I have no intention of ever letting it go. It plays & sounds too great. Plus I've got more invested in parts and time than I could ever get out of it anyways.

I have one of the original Steve Harris Ps that I bought new. Graphite nut, chrome plated brass p/g, black Quann BAII bridge. I powdercoated the tuners (it was cheaper then replacing them). Ditched the Duncans soon after getting the bass. I ran EMGs for a long time, both 9 and 18 volts, with and without an EMG pre. Currently with Fralins run passive.

My #1 to be sure. Heck, my only one actually :D
