modding a epi t-bird

Has any one modded an epi-t-bird,i mainly want to swap out the pups...possibly go with an active set or a good set of passive pups.I like this bass but the tone is not to my liking.So if anyone who has modded one of these birds please give me some input on what you have done to yours.

A friend of mine moved the strap button to get rid of the neck dive but thats really all i've seen done.
