Ok so my first bass was a olp mm2, I bought it about five years ago and probaly havent played it in about two years. Like a idiot I decided to defret it about 2 in a half years ago and the best tone I use to get out of it was from slap bass(wich I cant do now cause its a fretless).. Anyways the bass came with a maple fret board witch I dont like anyway. I guess what I am looking to do is put a new neck and pickups on it get this thing sounding good and start playing it again instead of it just wasting in my closet. Plus I basicaly want a cheap bitch around bass that sounds good, like this I can keep my better basses in good shape.
