Ok... if I were to get the Flea bass with aguilar preamp and passive Bassline pickup, how would the preamp work? I know activly it boosts 40hz or 4khz, if its passive does it cut at that freq?

Its hard because so many playes say diffrent things..

A modulus catalog says that the bass comes with a PASSIVE aguilar ob-1 preamp. However the aguilar website says its a 18v preamp with boost only, can a passive system boost? I think not..

Also what model pickup does the flea come with if you select the bartolini pickup?

and one more.. What model preamp is the bart preamp?

Obp1 is a boost only circuit. An Obp3 is a boost/cut circut.

could not say but i know that mines coming in april with the ob1 pre and the seymor duncun basslines mm pickup! oh and it gonna have a baII bridge!

i think the bart is just there version of the seymor duncun? so you can have a full bart hardware setup? find rockstarbassist and pm him or wait till he finds this thread trust me he'll be able to tell you.

Sorry bro, I knew that, I was asking how could you boost with a passive pickup? Is the passive pickup active?

A lot of basses are set up this way: Passive pickups with active electronics.

I've got a Flea J5. Bart J pups and the bart NTMB. Sounds GREAT! I think you should try out some of the options before you buy. I've heard a lot of people don't like the Aguilar with the Flea.
