MODULUS VJ4 PREAMP OPTIONS..

Ok i got a VJ4 a while ago, and its the bomb in every way apart from the lack of mids...i want to put in a 3 band to give me sweepable mids...i like the East UR Deluxe but dont like the thought of drilling holes in this bass..

Can you guys give me any more suggestions on a 3band EQ to put in...there has got to be more than East and Bartolini?

if any suggestions come up could you explain how they may work with a carbon fiber necked bass...

PS what do you think of the bart 3 band?

this is the bass..dont really want a control plate on it...has to be rear cavity...

If you're worried about routing, almost every pre-amp company out there will have stacked knobs.

I'm pretty sure EMG has a 3 band EQ. Whether it's any good or not is beyond me.

sorry im lost i mean drilling holes in the front for toggles...the bass has rear routing...im confused dude?

You dont need to drill holes to fit a preamp there, a Bart or Aguilar obp 3 will work great IMO.

What pickups are on the bass?

Audere J preamps are great and I have them in 3 Modulus VJs
(one fretless)

You cannot go wrong and the mids are very user friendly, you would need the Audere module for your bass.
