I had a Modulus Jazz thing that I absolutely loved, tone-wise, but absolutely hated looks-wise. So I replaced the neck with a Moses and while I got what I wanted looks-wise, the Modulus neck was definitely better sounding. Still, the Moses is plenty good enough; I'd say almost the same, with a bit less sustain and brightness than the Modulus.
Sorry, I just couldn't take that pointy headstock on a Jazz bass.
Modulus Q5 necks (to my knowledge) don't conform to MIA Fender heel pocket specifications, which is what the Modulus, Moses and Status neck replacements are built to.
I doubt you'd be able to replace a Quantum 5 neck with anything but another Quantum 5 neck... Unless you had one custom made to fit that particular heel pocket.
I could be wrong on this... Probably be worth your time to call up Modulus and ask about the heel pocket on your Quantum.
