Mohini Dey: Nice Harmonics

You say that like it’s a bad thing.
One of the fascinating aspects of her style is how she’s incorporated tabla rhythms and the related rapid fire vocal delivery of traditional Indian music.

She is very talented and technical and I am really into 70's fusion music and I play sitar myself a lot and studied Indian etc., but her playing just doesn't do it for me. For me personally it misses 'soul' and is too much focused on technique.
