Moises

I use Moises to isolate the bass tracks, yes. It's been very useful, cutting down my transcribing time by half, at least.
Once you've isolated the bass track, export it as an audio file. Then you can upload that same audio file to Songsterr and it will tab it out for you.

(I haven't had to do this, but it seems like it would be very useful for those really tricky bits...)

I use Logic's splitter. I hate subscriptions. But it works well enough. It's really handy for making play along/practice along tracks or learning tracks.

There are artifacts in any of these things, and sometimes mistakes- I've had moises and other fail to split when you have multiple instruments in the bass range, especially keys/bass at the same time. It just globs them together.

But it's mostly usable.

I've used it once, in free mode. Worked great! I figure it might be a thing to help if I really get stuck, but I'm trying to improve my ear and transcription skills so it probably won't be a daily driver so to speak. I think this is a great application for machine learning and neural net analysis - they might want you to call it AI but that is a very misleading term.

Ear is better to keep sharp though for other reasons. I knew almost everyone played the original Mustang Sally wrong even though it was tough to hear, took years for the proof! Thank you ai, I just learned it because well everyone plays it, some people hate it, I loved it.

Use Moises almost every day for both bass and guitar. First, I isolate the bass or guitar part to help learn it, then I remove that part from the rest of the band and play along with the rest of the band for practice. Very easy to use and well worth the price for me.
