I have an old Peavy PA400 with 2 small stacks (1-10", 1-12", & 3 tweeters in each stack, 8 ohms each stack). The head has 2 output lines (2ohm), & now monitor outputs. I want to hook monitors coming off the stacks (they have double jacks). Any recommendations. Advice is greatly appreciated.

If the monitors would be tapped off of the stacks, they would be mimicing the mains rather than functioning as monitors. You'd have no volume control specifically over the monitors unless you went with some kind of powered monitors, which would be much more expensive than your preavey PA400, etc.
I'm sure you could make due, but not having separate volume controls over the monitors could be limiting and troublesome.
